paperwork is fun
We received part two of the Dillon application in the mail on Saturday. Since then we have been busily gathering documents and scheduling appointments. Though I don't think it will take us anywhere near 3 months to complete this step, I can see how it could take that long. We have to gather a ton of documents (birth certificates, marriage certificates, background checks, physicians statements, tax returns, financial statements, employment statements, and insurance verification just to name a few), visit docs for physicals and various tests including Tuberculosis, HIV, and Syphilis, write individual autobiographical statements, and gather three sets of 15 photos (preferably full length in "Sunday" clothes) of us as a couple taken within the last six months. Clearly we don't take as many photos of ourselves as some folks do. Who has 15 recent full length photos laying around the house? Anybody wanna take some pictures?
Our goal is to have the application and all addenda thereto in the mail by 10/31. Wish us luck.
