random thoughts, missing mail, and a hint of impatience

I worry that my furry child, Vagabond Eugene Myers, will be frightened of a baby. I worry that the baby will be frightened of the dog. I don't worry about Basil. She made it clear long ago that as long as she is fed, she could care less who is in the house. I guess cats are just like that. In any event, I worry about the relationship between the furry and the non-furry, and then I remember the first time Vagabond met a baby, and then I'm not worried anymore.

Dillon has theoretically approved our application! Hooray! However, nothing is official until they receive a mailed copy of a letter from one of my doctors. Boo! The doctor said it was faxed. The doctor also says it was mailed. Grrr. I home the mail finds its way to Dillon soon. I'd really like to get on with the process.

On a random note, I just found out today that I work with a woman who adopted her daughter from Guatemala a few years ago. She also used Dillon. The world is very small indeed.
