remember my very first post...

Remember my very first post, the one where I talked about the friend at work that was pregnant with twins and had cardiac arrest, a stroke and an emergency c-section to deliver the babies at 29 weeks? Well, she and the kiddos are doing fantastic, and we had a shower for her at the office yesterday. This is a photo of the cake. How cute is this? I know, it's not entirely adoption related, but since her event was the impetus for my anti-pregnancy epiphany, I thought it deserved a post on the blog. wow, is my house clean!

So, the homestudy was this morning. I have no clue why I was so worried about it. Basically we just sat around and chatted. In the end, our social worker said that the homestudy would be approved and that all is well. Yippie!

Our house looks amazing. We are the worst when it comes to unpacking. This gave us a much needed kick in the pants and our house looks amazing... almost good enough to show it... maybe we should sell, after all, I know a good realtor. Wink wink. I'm kidding about the house sale, don't panic.

We've also arrived at an answer to the gender question. Our homestudy will state that we are open to either gender, with a preference for a girl, or twins of either gender, under 18 months at time of placement. Hooray for clarity I say. Hooray!
