hooray!

Our homestudy is complete! Despite my almost constant complaining, it was a pretty quick turn around. Exactly one month from our final homestudt visit with our social worker. Not too shabby. The agency is supposed to be sending our dossier instructions ASAP. Whil we are gathering documents for the dossier, we will also be waiting on the I-171H. Our dossier packet can't be officially sumbmitted to VN until we have that piece of paper. I'm told it can take close to 90 days to receive the silly thing, and I know folks who have been waiting close to 45 at this point. That having been said, I'm told that the CIS office ours will originate from is quite speedy, so I am hoping for the best. It's still possible that we could have all of the paperwork submitted by year end, but with only 22 days left in the year the chance is pretty slim.

One of my blog buddies received a referral yesterday! Very exciting! Congratulations, Elisabeth!

Here's to ending the paperchase by year end... do a dance, say a prayer, cross your fingers, or whatever you preference may be... we'll take all the helo we can get.
