the dossier is done!

As of 2:36 this afternoon, the dossier is in the mail. It is scheduled to arrive at Dillon by 10:30 tomorrow morning! The goal was to have it in the mail by the end of the year, but my doctor's office closed for the holiday and neglected to complete my letter before they closed. So, I picked up the letters this morning and FedExed the package this afternoon! I am so relieved! We're one step closer to binging the little guy home!

Our pal Tricia is convinced that we'll travel before the little guy's first birthday in July, and I sure hope she's right! Rest assured, I'll keep everyone posted regarding our progress.

We're going to attempt crib construction tonight. I should preface this by stating that the husband and I do not make a good building team. We tend to have strong disagreements regarding assembly technique, order of assembly, use of instructions, and whether or not we should really use all of the included screws. I should also mention that the husband writes technical documentation for a living and generally feels that the quality of assembly instructions are lacking. Though I tend to agree, I still maintain that they manufactured said item and likely know how to assemble it. Silly me. Should be loads of fun. If we manage to put the thing together I'll post a photo or two.

Congrats to Kelly and Justin who, along with their adorable daughter Lucy, are back in the modern world of internet access! I look forward to more posts as their trip progresses. Congratulations are also in order for Rachel. She just received provincial approval, which means she will likely know her travel dates in a matter of weeks! Pretty cool!
