ice & rain, go away, come again another day
This was going to be a great weekend. We were supposed to take a day trip to Fayetteville to see my grandparents and to attend a Tol for adorable Miss Sophia, Kat & Collin's daughter. We were also looking forward to seeing Pete & Beth's baby and meeting Brandon & Camille in person. These are the things that we planned to do. Then the weird weather started and we found ourselves worried about ice, sleet, potentially frozen overpasses and bridges. I know I said this would be a day trip, but it's not exactly a short drive... it's about 200 miles from Little Rock. We're told it's just raining at this point, but the weather channel has freaked us out a little by insisting that ice will start falling from the sky at almost the exact time that we would arrive at the party. Grrrr! So, we've opted not to go. We're seriously bummed. We really wanted to have lunch with Omy & GP, the aforementioned grandparents, and had been looking forward to the party for months. However, since we were going to drive up and back today, potentially spending most of the drive back in dark and icy conditions, and since I am co-hosting a bridal shower tomorrow afternoon and absolutely have to be in town, it seemed prudent to stay put. Bleh.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SOPHIA!!!
