Over the weekend, Ken's Mom, Nancy, came to visit and to help us put together Beckett's room. She is extraordinarily handy and even brought a compound miter saw with her! On Friday we painted two dressers, one of which will be used as a changing table. On Saturday, we installed the picture moulding beneath the blue area on the wall. We also installed the curtain rod and curtains that divide the sleeping and non-sleeping areas of the room. Today while I was working, Ken and his mom put up the shelves. It's all very exciting! Though the room isn't quite complete and still requires some additional decorative touches, it's nice to walk past the room and feel like it belongs to someone. It's now Beckett's room.
