cookie therapy, life books, and a little reassurance

There is more baking in my immediate future. As in tonight. Today I choose to make Dora Dunlaps's Chocolate Chip Cookies. By far, some of the best chocolate chippers ever to cross my lips. With any luck I'll have several hundred cookies before bedtime. Needless to say, this is a major batch of cookies. When stressed some people obsessively clean. I bake. Last weeks snickerdoodles sucked. I should have listened to Dianna and gone for the chocolate. Never let it be said that I don't learn from my mistakes.

I'm slowly composing Beckett's life book. I found a cool custom photo book site that is pretty easy and intuitive to use. It looks as if the finished result will look clean, crisp and professional, and I can hardly wait to finish mine (ok, Beckett's). If you are thinking of making a life book, you should check it out. Of course, I also think these books would make a fine way to handle family photos.

On the adoption front, I spoke with our agency coordinator today. For those of you who are wondering, this is the part where I profess my undying love for Jynger. Yes, that is spelled correctly. I was told that it is reasonable to think that we would be in the group travelling in either late June or early July. Of course, things could always change, but that was plenty encouraging for me. So, until then, I'll just beg the other Vinh Long moms for photos, and continue stocking my in house bakery. Cookies, anyone?
