Guess who we met? Since we were in the St. Louis area it seemed wrong not to try to meet
Scott & Leslie. After all, we'll be traveling with them to VN in June (positive thinking). So, tonight we met for dinner and dessert, and had a great time yakking about the whole adoption process. Needless to say, they are awesome people, and we look forward to getting to know them better during our travels. As it turns out, we'd be perfect traveling companions. Ken & Scott love golf, look forward to rides on mopeds, and are willing to eat pretty much anything. Leslie and I hate the heat, have out of control curls that will be oh so pretty in the Vietnamese humidity and enjoy retail therapy. Leslie and Ken hate to fly. Scott and I are excited about sampling strange ethnic foods. Leslie and I have had it with the wait while our husbands both keep uttering the same mantra about things being out of our hands. Our kids' orphanages are basically right down the road from each other, and families going to Vinh Long actually stay at a hotel in Can Tho where the Payne's little one currently resides. Clearly we are meant to travel as a group. Now if we could just get those G&R dates.
Speaking of dates, it has been 80 days since our LID and our last paperwork update. Eighty Days. Eighty! And to think that I expected to hear something by now. Scott is convinced that we'll get word that Beckett's dossier has already been to Hanoi and is back in his province. I hope he's right.
