do kids with teeth still eat baby food?

Today my Dad and I made baby food. I'm happy to report that nobody was injured in the making of said baby food, nor did anyone or anything in my kitchen end up wearing said food for any period of time. This was intended to be a sort of trial run. We wanted to master our technique. All in all it was a successful batch. We made broccoli, carrots, green peas, and acorn squash. For the record, one head of broccoli, one small bag of carrots, one acorn squash, and one small bag of frozen peas will each yield one ice cube tray full of vegetable goodness. Each cube is equal to roughly one ounce of food. I have no illusions about this saving me any money, though making food at home is a heck of a lot cheaper than this stuff. Mostly I wanted to know that the little man will have some foods completely devoid of weird fillers, starches or preservatives.

So there we are, pureeing veggies like mad when my Dad says, "you know he has teeth. You could probably start him on finger foods". Awesome. Way to point that out before we're up to our elbows in vegetable matter. At this point I'm unsure whether we created dinner for the little dude, or fabulous purees for soup, but one way or another, somebody is gonna eat these veggies.
