playdate!

Look who we met today!! Yep, it's Lucy and her mom Kelly from Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. Pretty cool. It's a bit surreal meeting folks from Blogland. To a certain degree you feel as if you already know them, but you really don't. Odd. Anyway, Kelly is every bit as sweet in person as she seems on her blog and Lucy is a doll! We met up at The Wonder Place and the kiddos had a good time trying out all of the new toys. Lucy is full of energy and is all about walking. Beckett fell asleep in the car on the way so he wasn't in the most playful mood. We tried to get the kids to sit still for a few photos but they had better things to do. Oh well. I guess that's life with toddlers. In any event it was good fun and we look forward to hanging out with them again sometime soon.

PS: We're jealous of cute girl clothes. Why is it that in the one tenth of every baby shop that is dedicated to boy clothing everything in stock features red, blue, and things with trucks and dinosaurs almost exclusively? I don't want my son to look like a trucker. I also don't want him to look like a walking billboard for the latest animated movie. Bleh.

PPS: We're also jealous of Lucy's hair. I should note however that we almost have enough hair for a faux hawk, and that will be awesome.
