yesterday

Yesterday the little dude turned fourteen months. He also took his first few solo toddling steps, though he's not quite walking yet. We think it will be soon and then the dog is in real trouble!

Yesterday marked the one year anniversary of our first meeting with Dillon to discuss adoption. We attended an information session at the local Dillon office to discuss our options and learn about the agency. The next day we had pretty much made our decision and there just so happened to be a pre-adoption workshop scheduled for the following Saturday which we attended. You can read about it here. Just for fun, here we are at the aforementioned workshop.

I can hardly believe that one year later we are the proud parents of Mr. Beckett and that he has been home for 9 weeks. Wow. This year we will be attending the same workshop, this coming Saturday, to share our Vietnam experience with the prospective parents. Bex is tagging along for the cuteness factor. Here's hoping he feels like show and tell.

Yesterday also marks the day that our little man officially became Beckett Long Myers. We just received word that the judge signed the Decree of Recognition of Foreign Adoption and it was filed and certified yesterday afternoon. Some judges require a hearing but this one didn't so I'm afraid we had no photos with the judge or fanfare to speak of, but the end result is the same.

Yep, yesterday was a pretty good day.
