rock on, robeez! and other newsworthy snipets

I LOVE Robeez. There, I've said it and I'm not the least bit ashamed. The company is awesome (read how they donated shoes to Bex's former roomies here and here) and the product is fantastic, at least until the kiddos are serious walkers. Once upright mobility is fully achieved the fabulous Robeez become less practical due to the almost nonexistent sole. Well not anymore my friends. Behold the groovy new Robeez Treds. I might be in love. Too bad I have to wait until February to get my hands on a pair.

In other news I finally managed to secure a spot for the little dude at a local preschool. As of mid September he will be heading off to school for half a day on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I am SO relieved! Ours is one of those cities where securing quality childcare and or preschool can be a vexing task. Every pregnant lady I've met already has her unborn child's name on a waiting list or has already enrolled said baby and is paying tuition until such time as child is birthed and can attend. Yikes, I say. Yikes. Silly, naive little me thought all of my friends were paranoid uber planners. I was so very wrong. Since August the little dude has been on 16 waiting lists. Sixteen. I'd love for him to be enrolled somewhere for the next eight months but it seems that is highly unlikely. So, if you live in my city and you have a referral you best start calling preschools, pronto. Trust me, it's not about paranoia.
