where, oh where, has jessica gone? oh where, oh where, can she be?

Right, so it was going to be a busy week from the beginning. I have work to be done, party things to accomplish, and preparations for our soon to arrive house guest, but everything has ground to a halt as our airconditioning has broken for the second time in less than a month and I am doing everything in my power not to melt into a sweaty puddle on the floor. Bleh. I'm told the AC peeps will be here between 1 and 4 tomorrow. Yes, that is the best that they could do. No, they did not care that we were existing customers, that their ad said "24 hour service guaranteed. Late nights and weekends are not a problem", that two of the occupants of our house technically have heart conditions and don't do heat well, or that they had just "fixed" the effing thing three weeks ago. They straight up didn't give a hoot. I'm somewhat certain they are in league with the devil.

So, instead of cleaning or getting in any way ready for the birthday festivities scheduled to take place on Saturday morning, I'm basically trying not to move. Here's hoping we have a solution to this nightmare tomorrow afternoon. I'm off to stand in front of my open freezer for awhile.
